Default new tank set up need help with overflow/sump

ok everyone I dont usualy post on here but I just set up my new tank and I need some help getting it running right. I have a 90gallon tank with a 33gallon sump. The tank has a left corner overflow with a 1inch bulkhead. I have a dorsostandpipe made with 1 1/4 pipe, and the pipe running from under the overflow to the sump is also 1 1/4. The water level stays constand in the overflow and doesnt make a toilet flushing noise, but there is noise coming from inside the pipe (you can hear it through the holes in the top of the standpipe) it sounds kind of like a gurgling.
In my sump the pipe is spitting out alot of large bubbles and it is being extremely loud. Here are some pictures and ANY suggestions would be great.

make sure you have a breather hole drilled in the top of the snorkel. if there isnt the water will not drain until it builds up enough pressure to push through the vacum created by the air trapped in the snorkel (standpipe)

I have found that many times even with a hole you can still get bubbles. It's important to let just the right amount of air in. Too little and it sounds like a toilet. Too much and you get a bunch of bubbles. I like to put an air adjustment valve on the top of a durso so I can dial it.

1) is there an air hole in the diy noise maker? if not that could be the problem, if there is, should be about 3/16-1/4"

2) the cover on the overflow, is it restricting air flow, if there is a hole in the diy noise maker?

3) in the sump, why is the drain from the main tank under water? this may be your problem.
