| Yea, I love feather dusters...they are so interesting....
Are you talking about the pink one....maybe I should have mentioned that I started out with faux corals for color, I'm planning on slowly replacing it with real corals....so the pink, yellow, teal, and white branching in the back right are all fake. The real coral in the middle is branching hammer corals, then the star polyp is bottom right, and yellow and button polyps on the left.
Sorry if I was misleading...wish I could keep such colorful corals! |

| Nice selection of both fishes and corals!
Questions: How hard is it to keep the 20 gal in good shape (water par., salinity)? What equipments are used in your reef?
I am thinking about doing a 20 - 30 gal reef. It should be a lot cheaper on lighting than the 125 gal and I can put it in my room.
Just curious, which LFS do you go? I've been going to "Big Al's." I just found it this year. They are a very nice store and have nice selection of everything.
Thanks!
GKW

| I actually go there myself....I personally love the place! Go there just for fun sometimes....but have to fight the urge to buy more stuff...cause I'm almost out of space!
Ummm...well so far it has been rather easy keeping it up, as long as I stick to my schedule of maintenance, all is well. Actually running a Whisper Hang on Power Filter, a swivel power head, a Berlin Air in tank skimmer, submersible heater, and thats about it. I just upgraded my lighting from the standard fluorescent strip light to a Coralife PC fixture with Lunar lighting that I love!!!
Unfortunately, it seems as though the Midas Blenny is a little too pushy for my smaller clown, so I'm considering taking him out of the tank. He is is beautiful shape, but the clowns are not looking so good since he was placed in there. I ignored the "could become a problem smaller tanks" warning, and now the little ones are paying for it. Are you interested in a beautiful Midas???
I already want to upgrade the size, actually wanted to a week or so after I bought my first clown. But would be an awesome manageable size for the bedroom, perhaps that is where this one will go when I get my next tank! |

| Cool, I go to that store just to "hang out" too .
I've going there to check if they have the Midas Blenny and they said they will come in one of the "restocking" day. I only have about 15lbs of LR in my tank right now, so I might hold it off until my aragocrete rock cured. I really wanted the 4-lines wrasse they have there tho.
Jason, this Big Al's is a chain from the one in Canada and we are lucky enough to have one in South Florida. I also think that's the only one in the US so far. |
