| Re: new tank You can just get a 14000K MH bulb and you won't have to fool with the actinics it will be blue enough. Check out the Hamilton reefsun pendants at www.hamiltontechnology.com . _________ &&Right now I'm in the middle of a conversion from reef to Discus/ planted aquarium. Hair algae beat me down. Maybe a nano in the future. Everything screwed up so I'm converting to FOWLR. Wish me luck. |

| Re: new tank 1 WAS THINKING OF THAT BUT THEN I CANT SIMULATE DAWN AND DUSK. *I WOULD PUT LED MOONLIGHTS IN BUT IT WOULD JUST GO FROM MOONLIGHT TO 12 NOON IN A FLASH DONT KNOW IF THATS GOOD, SO I NEED SOME OTHER LIGHT PROBABLY JUST NO OR HO LIGHTS. i GUESS I COULD USE A X-10 MODULE TO SLOWLEY DIM THE LIGHT DOWN AT NIGHT AND ON IN THE MORNING BUT I THINK THE OTHER LIGHTS MAY BE EASIER |

| Re: new tank Hi JOERO178...
Setting up "small" tank? - think "small" fish...
couple of "clown" gobies or blenny would go great with those Maroons...

| Re: new tank CLOWN GOBIES ARE NICE AND MORE IMPORTANTLY DONT HAVE ANY IN MY REEF TANK. I THINK 1 OR 2 OF THOSE IS A GOOD IDEA. YEP STARTING A NEW TANK MY ROOMMATE HAS A FRESHWATER TANK WHICH HE DOESN'T TAKE CARE OF, HE JUST FEEDS THEM IF I TOLD YOU HOW HE TREATS THIS FISH THEY ARE THE HARDIEST FISH I HAVE EVER SEEN. ONCE THEY PASS AWAY THE TANK IS MINE TO PLAY WITH. DONT EXPECT THEM TO LIVE MUCH LONGER. I WANTED TO GIVE THEM BACK TO THE PET STORE BUT HE DOESN'T WANT TO, DON'T KNOW WHY BUT ITS HIS TANK FOR NOW. |
