| Thanx for posting Matt!!
I am going to keep my 40 in my room as my reef tank until my 125 matures . Then ima swap all over. Im in no hurry. I setup a 30gal. as a fuge and ima setup another 20 gallon as a sump-fuge-skimmer.
I will be posting pics tonight. I just placed the sand in my tank, finished all the plumbing, my skimmer is on its way. Matt, When do i set up my fuge. Like when do i place the dsb,lr,and macro???
Thank you |

| I would think the live rock would - especially the amount capable in a 125 - would help kick start the macro in the refugium. Otherwise, you could wait until fish and do it then. Personally I'd probably do it all at once to some degree and build it up over time.
That said, I think your plan of taking your time overall is a very wise one.
Look forward to pics!

| Thanks Matt
I am gonna go ahead and add the DSB and the LR today. Would the macro algea mess up my cycle?? And whats your input in these "refugium starter kits"?? When i started with my 40 gal. it was said that cycle by hagen was good to dose while cycling, is this still true, or is it best just to let it go by itself with the cocktail shrimps?Thank you for your input guys.
Hey Birchell, i know it is worth the buck. The 125 is an awesome tank!!!!
I will post pics for you guys as soon as i can(tonight). |
