New order from saltwaterfish.com came in Well we've had another 6 inches of snow and my live order did come in the next day but around 6pm after being on the fedex truck all day at 20 degrees. Inside the box was very cool even with the heat packs and all. I started pulling out the bags and was thinking, great everything is dead.
On the order was:
6 peppermint shrimp, 1 toadstool, 2 porcelin crabs, 2 emerald crabs, 3 large feather dusters, 1 brittle star, 1 green ricodia, 1 cleaner wrasse. I think thats it if I remember correctly.
Anyways the cleaner wrasse was definately dead (was a 1.99 special though) but I floated everything for an hour and a half anways in the tank to see what would happen.
The crabs came to life and everything got warmed up and started moving around.
The toadstool needs to recoupe but I think it'll be ok and everything else looks great so far. (was down with the flash light this morning to see what I could find, no signs of the porcelins or peppermints -- those were really small).
But I think all is good except the fish of course.
I've never had luck with saltwaterfish.com's fish but inverts and coral I've had good success -- although this time the cold probably killed the wrasse.
