Default New order from saltwaterfish.com came in

Well we've had another 6 inches of snow and my live order did come in the next day but around 6pm after being on the fedex truck all day at 20 degrees. Inside the box was very cool even with the heat packs and all. I started pulling out the bags and was thinking, great everything is dead.
On the order was:
6 peppermint shrimp, 1 toadstool, 2 porcelin crabs, 2 emerald crabs, 3 large feather dusters, 1 brittle star, 1 green ricodia, 1 cleaner wrasse. I think thats it if I remember correctly.
Anyways the cleaner wrasse was definately dead (was a 1.99 special though) but I floated everything for an hour and a half anways in the tank to see what would happen.
The crabs came to life and everything got warmed up and started moving around.
The toadstool needs to recoupe but I think it'll be ok and everything else looks great so far. (was down with the flash light this morning to see what I could find, no signs of the porcelins or peppermints -- those were really small).
But I think all is good except the fish of course.

I've never had luck with saltwaterfish.com's fish but inverts and coral I've had good success -- although this time the cold probably killed the wrasse.

Oooh that is chilly.

I would wait till spring before ordering anymore livestock via mail.

Let SWfish know about loss, they will give credit on next order.

They do have great prices on inverts...my LFS can usually meet fish prices unless they have them on sale.

My only problem with them is meeting the minimum price for free shipping.

Am on their "wish list" for a replacement Flame Wrasse...

Will order some inverts when that comes in, if they ever get one.

I placed an order a and received it a week ago and like you the inverts and corals were all good, the algae blenny looked like it had been starving for weeks it was so skinny... But, the firefish goby looked fine and is still doing good. I haven't seen the blenny since the day after I put him in the tank, and I rearranged my rocks yesterday...
Enjoy,

Jim

For the discount I think I'd have to send it back in salt --- so doing that for a 1.99 isn't such a big deal. Didn't really want a fish this time but the 1.99 cleaner was hard to pass up. I do like saltwaterfish and wanted to get a shipment in before I left for 3 months again Jan 1st. The only fish I want to add from here is 2 clowns and a mandarin which I'll probably get local but I can wait and be selective. My wife has gotten really good at taking care of the tank as I just got back from being gone for 6 months.
