Wunlym,

"trapping" in tank, or "trapping" in ocean. If latter, way cool!

Wish I lived somewhere where I could do same. --- but then a tropical SW aquarium might not have the same attraction.

All our fish are ugly here in Pacific Northwest.

Good "trapping" to you.

lol Yea I live in Jamaica. I trapped these things in the sea. We relly don't have allot of pretty fish here in Jamaica what you see there are really most of the reef safe and beautiful ones that I've found. There are also black caps, and a couple nano gobies. Butterflies are nice but aren't reef safe....... etc. I'll post some pics of this place I go to catch fish. It's monkey island and it's REALLY beautiful.

I wanted to get one of those slurp guns but I heard that they damage the fish. I'd still try them. I've been spearfishing all my life and have foudn that you have to approach each fish diffrently. And you have to hunt and trap each one diffrently. You also need diffrent net's traps etc to catch diffrent fish as well. So I'm sure that the slurp gun would be able to catch some stuff I just can't with the nets I have so far.

IBM Geek, to catch the free swimming chromis I used a small hole casting net. 1/4" sq.

To catch the Royal Gramma is very difficult. I use this tool I've built and a large monofilament net. They are hard because they hang out under ledges and up against small holes/caves.

The wrass is easy. Just chase him down with a net, he doesn't know what the hell is going on.

The flame cardninal I can't explain. You have to kinda scare him to go into the net himself. you can't scoop him.
