Default my tank as of 16th march 08

well im postin some pics up here so in a years time i can look back and hopefully say " wow it did change for the better" and not say "crap i screwed up"



fish include
1 scopus tang
1 fjin damsil
1 yellow coris wrasse
2 osc clowns
5 green chromis damsils

1 hingeback shrimp
4 trochus snails
2 strom shells
2 or 3 random snails i spotted <very small came out of live rock>


1st pics are my display tank 300 litres with wet/dry underneath

coraline on the rocks is very bright looks 110% from when it was in my old tank hopefully it keeps up

2nd pics are of my live rock in a seperate tank while curing they have been in there for a week now im seeing alot of wierd and wonderfulls coming out of rocks a few crabs, some pistol shrimp, sea urchin alot of starfish that seem to hide in the dark white in colour look very spiky, alot of polyps around the rock and alot of green too also alot of coraline

sea urchin has a red colour to it seems to hide out in that hole all day ive never seen it move from there very far

edit: the live rock that is curing will eventually go into the main display and the old tank will be put away for a rainy day

ive got 6 snails and 6 hermie crabs, what ever crawled out of my live rock, and a whole lot of micro air bubbles. but nice tank looking good

im glad i dint get any hermits i had some once i got sick of them eating my snails, i prefere snails cos they can clean the glass too

Looking good!! This might be a better forum for your post: Show Off Your Fish Tanks! - 3reef Forums forum was made so people could start tank "diary's" and show off their tanks. No biggie, just thought you might wanna know.

yeah i will be posting some picks to night when i get home (i luv having the internet at work). my tank is what only about a month or so old so i am itching to get some more life in there.
i really just use the hermies to test a cycle the tank really. its better the phantom feeding

my tank is 2 months old now im goin to keep with with out coral as much as possible untill i get the rock structure solid and water quaility solid
i had hell with my last tank so im slowing down this time

hopefully in 6 months time ill get coral growing in there

there is 1 coral in there the mushroom on top seems to be doin fine even though its had to run threw a bit of a cycle but i wont be adding anymore for quite some time

*update pics*

well its been a couple of months now so i have some new pics of my tank, after lookin at my last pics and comapring them with the new 1's my tank has come along way with the new rock and the change to red sea max salt i have started to see coraline going nuts on my base rock i finally am starting to feel like my patience is payin off.

all stock is the same . except i lots a green chromis somewhere along the line
i also changed the old hang on skimmer that i dodged up for a more suitable sump skimmer which seems to be workin quite well
