| Re: My reef tank(just starting) Can't put much in there now.
Tell them it has to 'break in' for 2-4 weeks.
Down the road, let's do some tests and see what's up, then you can add some hardy corals.
Going slow now will pay off down the road. |

I would have to say that 6 weeks is the shortest period to wait. *The most imoprtnant thing in this hobby is patience, also the toughest. *Takes years for your tank to fully mature. *Mine is 19 months old and still "growing". *Just now sarting to be really stablized.
If you are going to want more LR which you have the capacity for, I would add it now. *Should have 1.5 - 2 lbs per gallon for a reef tank. *You may need a little more or less depending on aquascaping and esthetics dependong on the density of the rock.
Like what you've done with your aquascaping allowing good water flow, nooks and crannies, with lots of swim room for da fishies! _________ Just tryin to recreate God's perfection in a glass bowl. 20 Gallon Reef W/Live Rock, mated pair of Maroon Clowns, Softies, 110 watts PC 10,000k lighting, and skimmer. |
