Hi guys/gals on Sunday , my friend and I have to move his 2 tanks one is a 150gal loaded reef tank . Loaded with tons of corals 200 lbs of LR and only 4 fish. We also have to move his 155 Gal bowfront shark/trigger tank he has some LR in that but I am more concerned with the eel the huge Queen Trigger and the 2 foot Port Jackson shark. This should be very interesting considering it is 30 degrees here in New Jersey this yime of year. We only have a 20 minute drive to his new place but I am worried about maintaining Temp for the fish and corals. any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks . I will post a follow up after my 10 hr day on Sunday.:uneasy:

I would think if you got some styrofoam containers and put hot hands hand warmers in there with any livestock it would help maintain the temp a little better. I have heard of this before. Let us know how everything goes and I hope someone chimes in that has done a cold-weather move before!

when i moved last month my roomate the nice guy he is hauled my 29 gal freshwater tank on a trailer across town! luckily it was only 3.5 blocks lol since the move i attribute 3 fish deaths to the move! luckily my salt tank did fine (which i hauled in my car)

+1 With a short move, that's pretty much all you can do to ensure that your livestock will transfer well. Good luck to you and let us know how it went!
