i have my CaOH2 on aatoc with ro/di. Si and PO4 also feed algae. Mg is the buffer between Ca and dKH. 20 Ca : 1 meq/L(2.8 dKH) meaning 460 Ca : 8 dKH to do that Mg needs to be over nsw (1280) try to keep 1400-1500 Mg. Sr is potent do not dose directly, i keep mine around 35. your salinity should probably be 1.026. with correct parameters the algae will go away. i keep my halides on for 12hr and actinics 14hrs. i had a tank like yours with 2-250w se mh and 4-65w pc

if you go with a Ca reactor, keep the pH around 6.7 in the first chamber.

all at 0
calc 480

this was all after i spent 5 1/2 hours pulling hair algea
and taken rocks out to scrub and putting back
cleaned everything
i have to say i feel much better now
will get 4 turbo snails tomarrow
and a few scarlet crabs to to keep up with the algea now
