hey guys i thought id post some developments of my tank and see what the experts think...

5ft x .700mm x .700mm
1 x OR3500 return
1 x OR3500 on closed loop
1 x AM TF5000 baby skimmer (thanks alan)
2 x T12 phillips 40w actinic
2 x Aquamedic T5 blues
1 x moonlight (diy)
2 x SEIO M1500 (6000Lph ea)
1 x SEIO M820 (3200Lph)
1 x jager heater
3 x 150w hailides

other items i want to own

2 x vortech pumps (30000lph ea)
1 x resun CL650 chiller
1 x aquamedic kalkstirrer
1 x aquamedic calcuim reactor
1 x aquamedic denitrator

items i am still looking to upgrade or purchase

lighting... in the form of reflectors
DSB ...

i have a few corals and fish in (2 x clarkii clowns/1 x goldie) after curing the tank with about 10kg of LR, the main rock structure is out of dead base rock and i am monitoring my light levels to keep algae blooms at bay...( so far sucessful) .. i know i need more LR its coming....

aquamedic denitrator
Save your money on these toys as they are junk and over priced I have them both moth balled at the shop .. there are far better Ca reactors and as for a denitrater they can be made for penny's compared to what that aqua medic thing cost Its the same thing as the Ca reactor it just has bio balls inside . It still sucks.

well i built it and had to pull it down for 2 reasons.

1) the wooden stand was warping and threatening to crack the tank due to uneven floors
2) i started loosing livestock (all my sps) due to the water overheating and not being able to hook up a chiller..

result no fish in tank and no tank running untill i sort these issues out..

actually going to go a little smaller as the height (.700) was a problem.

unfortunatley no longer running but i am planning a smaller shallower system...cash is just a little tight at the moment.. thank you for the comments
