| Just picked up my 90L Thank You Matt for allowing me to join 3reef...I have been lurking for quite some time trying to learn and educate myself prior to making a major investment.
Today I finally picked up my glass tank with built-in overflow, 2 pre-drilled holes, Oak base cabinet and Oak canopy. ( I still need to stain and finish the wood prior to setting up the tank)
I am planning on a full reef setup and have yet to puchase lighting, waiting for delivery of protein skimmer (EV-180), and am weighing options for the sump.
I am going to take several pictures for some help as I have never configured a built-in overflow.
My previous tank was fish only with undergravel filter....it actually lasted over two years without any casualties....then a "friend" tank sat for me over a holiday break and needless to say, after two weeks gone, the damage had been done....
I will post some pictures with questions.......
(Thanks Again Matt for your help with my lost password)

| Re: Just picked up my 90L My question is how best to connect the plumbing....is the larger hole/bulkhead used for the outgoing feed and the smaller hole used for the return? The small and large bulkheads look to be 1" and 1.5" respectively.....
I will be using and AquaC EV-180 skimmer in a sump below the tank. LR and LS will provide Bio filtration once the setup has commenced. I would appreciate any engineering tips that anyone may have....
Thanks in Advance!!!

| Re: Just picked up my 90L Yes the larger is for the gravity drain and the small one is for the pump return Tips? Well, make sure you use a valve to isolate everything if you need to, use a check valve in case of a power failure, and test fit everything before applying the glue. That's the 3 best plumbing tips I can think of.
Welcome to 3reef and Karma to you.

| Re: Just picked up my 90L Thanks Fletch....Thank You Diver.....
Is there a reference link where appropriate fittings are available (other than the Home Depot et al for tubing)? |
