just wondering if you could id this

its red, smooth looking, looks like a stem underneath, no tenacles. its the best pic i could get its pretty small

Whoa that is blurry. Are you talking about the red circle in the upper right center?

Hard to say from that pic, but does it seem spongy? Or is it kinda of meaty like a mushroom?

Nice macro-algae by the way.

ya its the red circle in the pic im trying to get a better one. its not spongy its more solid

i havent gotten a better pic yet. were going to try the regular camera we have a really good 35 mm maby i can get a clearer shot with that. its funny shaped circular in the middle and looks like 3 petals around it, has a stem underneath, kind of thick. also today i noticed one of the petals looks like its starting to split

i havent gotten around to get another pic yet but i might wait a little. because it looks like its changing shape again. the parts that looked like petals are splitting and getting longer so i'll have to see what it ends up like this time.
