| Re: I Swam For My Natural Sea Water. Hey Grasshoper - Good to hear from you. Dude we HAVE TO FIX YOUR COMPUTER! The guest status is going on months. I used your login and password just fine. I think it's time we get some other Australian 3reefers down to your house and fix that damn thing!! [smiley=smug2.gif] [smiley=wink3.gif]
Somebody help this guy!
Pro's and Con's
- Box of chocolates problem - you never know what you are going to get.
- It can be a pain in the ass to collect. Check around for locals that deliver. Pretty common in Florida, maybe there too.
+ May be safer that some synthetic salts. Not really proven though.
+ You could get some goodies your corals and fish will eat
+ It's FREE! That is was what motivated me.
Keep us posted! |

where it says reids head mistake there r two big break walls , one that points out out to sea, and one that goes into the middle of the channel, i can drive out to both of em, walk 2 metres, fill em up with out gettin wet an chuck em in me boot. little bit easier than the way u did it u reckon matt ?? lol. they way i figure i do it is jus go down there on the incoming tide, thay way im not gettin all the dirty water comin back out from the lake.
should i filter or treat the water at all ?? | |

| Re: I Swam For My Natural Sea Water. Sounds good! I have no idea if you need to filter it. I don't think anyone can tell you that with certainty. I wasn't as concerned since I was starting a new system, but I would probably just test it and see how it checks out. If it looks cool, just throw it in.
If you do it, start a new thread with pics. I gotta see it! |

| Re: I Swam For My Natural Sea Water. most recommend filterring nsw. The water we get is put thru 3 micron sleeve, then uv sterilized and lastly, thru a sand filter. I know many suppliers of nsw do the same.
