I ask this because while cleaning my tank yesterday my canopy fell on my wrist fracturing it. Now I am in a splint with a cast comming for the next 6 weeks!!! As my husband says " Good thing you saved $350 worth of lights!"
He's mad because he is going to have to do dishes and cook and do water changes for the next 7 weeks! |
WOW! Thats a bad one! Maybe you and Tangster should start a new club.
Hmmmm...O yeah. Never ever look directly at the bulb in your UV sterilizer!
I just wanted to make sure it was working properly. Couldnt have been for more than 10-15 seconds.
I cried like a baby half the night. Day or so later all was better again. |

I can't begin to describe the pain. So, needless to say I am much more careful now grabbing any type of rock. Of course their's always the burns associated with brushing flesh against high intensity bulbs. But that's really childs play compared to how my body reacts to the bristleworms. | That sounds like a bad jellyfish reaction.... _________ Got Questions? Need Answers? | All for the love of our tanks! Did Tangster break a bone while in his tank also? I love all the stories, I am happy that I am not the only one. I actually have already requested a waterproof cast, cause really, not touch my tank for 6 weeks?!...Don't think so. |

Have you ever tried to use vineger to neutralize the sting?? you could be allergic to it to so some anti-histamines wouldnt go a miss |
