Default I am out!

Well last night by new 29g tank cracked after running for over a week. After my 180 I was going to quit but stayed in the hobby against my better judgement. I forked quite a bit of time and money into the 29. Now that the tank is empty, I am selling all of the equipment I have and I am getting out.

I just wanted to say Thank You to all of the 3Reef members, mods and of course Matt. This is a great website and I wish you all the best in the future.

Take care!
Mike

Oh Man.What a bummer.
I hope you try again.
Don't let bad things beat you down, be persistent.
persistence always pays off.
Pick yourself up and try again.

The tank is the cheapest part.
or just fix it 1/4 acrylic 2foot x 18 is 10 dollars at home depot.
This time drill it at the top and dont notch it out,it will be stronger that way

DONT GIVE UP!!!

I don't think acrylic sticks well to glass with silicone. Plus I need to go back to why I originally tore down my 180, to spend time with my wife. I guess this is a sign that I, again, was not spending time with my wife.

HMM.
Everyone i think needs a hobby.
Something to do.
I have several.
If your wife don't mind, don't sweat it.
Once your all set up and done and you calm down about it
She will still be there.
Of-course you are obsessed now but that will subside in the future.
Its allot of work and money getting things right, but once they are you will be cool.

I think you just feel guilty because your pouring your heart and soul into this hobby.
It is something you like.

Suck it up.
And good luck.

Have a piece of glass cut for it.
probably be around 10-15 dollars for it.
and maybe you can go thicker for the back and have
the cutting place put holes or a notch in for you.

Mike,

Why did the 29 crack? Was there a modification the fatigued the glass? Perhaps there is information in your tragedy that may help myself and others prevent a re-occurence.

You have been helpful to me in my short time and I am not even setup yet....I hope you at least still lurk and provide help!

Like I told you the other day, you could always take up tarot reading....you are quite good!

Well thank you! I am down but I am not out. Someone hooked me up with a free 20l (fits perfect on my stand) and there was no way to stop my lights so I am going to stick it out!

You should see the nano cube now! I will post a picture of it later.
