I just dumped out the fluval the other day and cleaned it

I ahve been adding a few drops each day of iodine.. seems to be doing alot better.. but still not full "bloom".. Im still messin around with the powerheads.. Im wating till I get a test kit for iodine cause Im scared I'll ad to much!

ummm...I'm thinking about going to one of those SCWD and maybe another power head for the far side of my tank. I think my one return line is to strong . Kicks up my sand and all.

But is this too much for my Xenia ?

yeah I thought it might be. I've moved it a bit to lesson the flow....

I still haven't seen this pulsing effect yet. I added some iodine today too...

I have the smallest Acqua Clear powerhead in one back corner of my 29 gallon and it provides all the water current you will need. My Xenia, Mushrooms and Green star Polyps are just fine. I have it angled on a diagonal to the front glass. I have an Aqua Clear 200 HOB filter in the opposite back corner and my Seaclone 100 skimmer is in between those two on the back of the tank.

Sounds like you need a smaller volume powerhead. Hope that helps.

The coral most likely won't pulse if it's being blasted like it was in the picture. Hopefully, with the reduction of flow on the coral and the addition of iodine (hope you're testing before adding), you'll see the coral pulse soon!
