not really, what i would do is that get a fan to blow across the top of the tank, in general, it would lower a few degree, make sure to check your temp, you dont want it to blow the temp of the chart.

not just the light, have a fan that blow across the water surface where it can help with the water evaporate, i've done that in the summer, when the heat get to 90 outside and my water always sit at around 79, with the fan blew across it.

If you have a sump, you can freeze a 2 liter bottle of water and place it in the sump.

I wouldn't put the frozen bottle in the main display. That works better in a sump, and besides, it's a pain to always have to keep freezing bottles. And if you don't pay close attention, the temperature will constantly fluctuate.

One problem with using fans that I came across, having a nano, is that my temp was consistant, but my salinity was always up and down until I built a auto-top-off. It was evaporating too much water.

A chiller is your best bet if you can afford it. The temp always stays consistant, day and night, and it doesn't cause extra evaporation. Set it and forget it.

I thought I'd never say this, but my chiller was worth every dollar..
