Here As Birdlady suggested further down the link I added two more holes between each of the existing holes for better coverage. One important thing to remember if you are doing an open loop (Sump) system is to put a small hole about 1/2 inch or so below the waterline on the vertical riser to break the suction in case of a power failure. Simple to make, the one in the link is made of 1/2" PVC pipe. One trick I did to keep the holes lined up was to put a piece of masking tape from end to end and used the edge of the tape as a guideline for drilling.
