Default Feeding My Fish Fresh Seaweed any negatives ?

As per my last posted discussion with you guys, I find that my refugium is overloaded with Algea. So... I'm feeding a bit of it to my tangs every night !

Questions:

1) When the tangs chew at it, it almost seems to ooooze a cloudy liquid.... will this discolor my water ?

2) any negatives to feeding em this stuff ? My intuition is that its got to be good for them, but I thought I'd ask.

I don't see an issue but who am I to say. What what happens to the tank after you feed and do some tests checking the water etc... If all fairs well why not? Plus you maybe adding some pods with the algae another plus.

You may want to run a little carbon occassionaly when feeding as that is part of the caulerpas natural defense system.

In my opinion there is no more negative to your tank than any other vegetable matter food you would feed. *Part of a tang's natural diet and has to be good for their coloration.
