I have had 2 for about 6 months, the only thing to tell you is that they are beautiful and easy to take care of. One of mine drop his feather the night i brought him home but in about 4 weeks he had a new one. Kinda scary tho cuz he closed off the end of his tube and didnt show any sign of life for that whole time. I feed marine snow about once a week, and spectra vital about twice a week. They have live through a move that I am just now completing. Good luck. Wish I could tell you more.

they require sufficient water movement due to the planktonic foods they need to pull out of the water to survive. i feed mine a mixture of marine snow and zooplankton. they also, for the most part, feel more secure with their tubes buried in the substrate....there are exceptions though.

I got the bottom of him burried. I placed him kinda leaning under on live rock right under my return for my filter.

They will do fine as long as nothing eats them. Some crabs etc. will feast on them. They will require water motion to bring food(filter feeders) and remove waste as is the case for corals as well, so just make sure they have good water flow.
They will feed on nitrates, and assorted plankton as long as it is small enough to capture.
One note:their are times when the head/top of it pops off-that doesn't mean that it is dying or dead. Sometimes they will regrow another feathery top...Just thought you should know that as it has been brought up in the past...
