I looked a alot of probes and they are all the same a 10 inch titanium wire with a suction cup and a wire connected to the other end with a Butt connector or a plug with only the ground prong, as stated above. I would make sure that the receptacle is connected to the ground in your home. When you take the face plate off you should see a pale green screw at the base of the receptcle. It will not be white or black. Some times the ground isn't even connected to the the recepticle, but just pushed into the box and is sometimes stripped of insulation. Check your breaker box if you feel comfortable with taking the face plate off. Then you will know if the breaker to the recepticle has the ground wire properly connected.

My new inverts seem to be doing well, no new deaths in say 2 weeks. So far thats a record.
