Unhappy The Death of Royal Tenebaum

Time of death 10:16 am MST

My Blue Devil Damsel-Chrysiptera taupou, has died due to old age. I’m not sure of Royal Tenebaums (the damsel) age because he was fully grown when I bought him a couple of years back. I know many of you do not appreciate damsels but I loved mine dearly. My speculation is that Royal Tenenbaums was well over 6 years old.

Unhappy

Any fish loss is a traumatic event for me. I share your grief.

My mated pair of blue devils are great tank inhabitants...they are the busiest and friskiest of all the fish. Cause no trouble what so ever, other then squabble over on particular cave with a pair of Humbug Dascyllus. Is fun to watch them play "king of the cave".

Sorry

PS: the best medicine for a fish loss is a visit to local LFS

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I have 3 blue devils that helped cycle my tank, and by god it's their home. They may be cheap fish by most standards, but they add a lot of life to an aquarium, and they have very cool personalities (plus they are damn smart!) In my opinion they earned their right to live there, and there they will stay. I'd miss any of them dearly if they passed.
