Default Cloudy water still/again

Seems like a constant battle- I got the water cleared up, then the LTA died. Cleaned that up with extra filtration, then the crab ate the feather duster. Got *that* cleared up-ish, and now I think the skimmer is injecting all kinds of micro bubbles. I have the intake turned all the way down, but the water has been cloudy since adding it (3-25-0. Skimmer is off for the day to see if things clear up again, but this is getting frustrating!

skimmer will throw those air bubbles in the tank which will make it look cloudy. try a media sock those will catch all those bubbles. what i did was build a sump, and have the skimmer on the far side away from the outake. there are other ways thats just how i did it.

Adding carbon helped. I pulled the carbon media from the can so as to not overdo it. Seems like things are settling in- of course yesterday I saw that LFS has a needle skimmer/fuge HOB for $10 less than the Prizim venturi they sold me. Grrrr!
