Default clean sand combo

I have liked this combo for a while now an orange diamond goby and a sand sifting star the tank bottom looks like new always and i never have to stir it. Any others using this combo or what works best for you?

I don't do anything. I let my Live Rock do all that.

Well I like to have the sand moved a bit so dietrus, debris, algae and etc don't build up in one spot it also helps in dsb to keep from having stagnant pockets. They move the sand enough with out causeing any trouble. Do you do anything to move the sand during water changes or how do you keep sand healthy?

I have alot of crabs and snails that do that. I have very little sand showing as my Live rocks covers most of it. The sand also has a water flow over it and I have a small power head behind the live rock.
I guess I don't know what sick sand looks like.
When I first setup the tank I saw some dietrus and debris but that was before my cleaning crew was interduced and I guess I just take it for granted.
I have a lawnmower blenny and a yellow tang so never have had hair algae. Do have some algae on the glass that I scrape off every week or so.
When changing water I never touch the bottom of the tank.
I do change water every week and skip the 4th week.
Am I doing something right not to have sick sand?
