| Chillers and controllers When the cycle on my tank gets through I believe that I am going to need to get a chiller since the temp on my tank is staying around 80 degrees unless this temp is ok. I was wondering what the 3reefers thought about this. Also if I am going to need to get a chiller would I need to get a controller like a reefkeeper III to control it.

| Then you are going to need a chiller. Most chillers you buy today have their own controllers built in. You can find them used all the time if you want to save a little. I have a 1/10 hp on a 20g quarantine tank and a 1/3 hp on my display tank. I love the fact that I don't have to worry about temp anymore. If it only comes on once then it done it's job and money well spent. _________ Scott 265g (Peninsula)

| Aqua Logics is a good controller But all the chiller's I'd send anyone or use myself have their own digital controls built in as Otty said There are some cheap units that need a controller _________ Some of the world's greatest feats were accomplished by people not smart enough to know they were impossible (Doug Larson) |

| So the aqualogics are nice then. I don't want to buy cheap stuff this time around. My last experience was bad cause a lfs recommended some equipment at the beginning that was crap, and a few months later after talking to another lfs in another town I found out that the stuff I had purchased I should throw away and buy all new stuff. So I just got rid of everything. |
