You can not humanize a wild animal. First the guy understood the behavior of the animal and used that as any wild animal tamer would to look like they had the animal under control Sharks are like Lions in that they are neither mean or aggressive but instinctual animal's they live to eat and eat to live and will do anything to avoid being harmed in their world a broken anything means death , there whole lot in life is to eat and breed period.

You did notice the diver established some Dominance over the shark right up front when the animal came in for the assessment pass . He went right to the nose twice so the shark was put on a bit of notice that the diver was healthy and able to ward the animal off. Now had that animal not have just eaten a huge what ever maybe a man a few Hrs earlier then it may have been a tad different out come. The animal was not hungry and the diver was not its type for sex! period.

Like the Expert that was in knee deep water in the Bahamas a few yrs ago with Bull shakes all around him and he was just saying how non aggressive they where yadda yada and about that time one just tore his leg off on film and the rest all joined in The Camera guy almost lost his Arm and the expert lost his leg. LOL They where Hungry or just having an off day (:

Like the Tiger guys in Vegas LOL he thought he knew his children! Wrong.. Wild animals are just that and having been a old Farm boy I can tell you a so called Domesticated animal can't be trusted either.. I had a old friendl farm Horses to damn near stop my Cousin to death in the stall one morning and I had just fed and curried him and Bam Bobby got it why ??? All he did was walk in and rubbed Sonny's neck and for head. I won;t talk about the friendly Cows have done to people and can do hahaha .
But if you understand the nature of the beast you can get a tad ore control..

You play with the bull long enought you will get the horns is what I was raised knowing and seeing a few time .. Ask the Crock guy! Ahaha he got it

Amazing! However, I wouldn't want to get that close to a Great White to see if it is "friendly" and I can swim and pet it!!
As any wild animal...they are wild and can turn from passisive to aggressive at any time as evident by the trainer who got attacked at Sea World by an Orca Whale! No animal is totally trained to be tame-and this case scenario is no exception(thank goodness, he ate a huge meal before encountering these divers)!!!!hahaha

See thats the mis conception of behavior its neither passive or aggressive with a wild animal its either hungry or aroused.. or not.. Like with Dolphin there have been many people attacked by them .. They where aroused...

Just as I mentioned the marine biologist bull shark expert who was just saying that they where not aggressive nor mean.. Just before he was tore up in knee deep water I have seen bull sharks to try and rip a racing prop off the lower units when I raced in the keys and the props are so sharp you have to keep them covered you can shave with them and the sharks would be tore the shreds and still trying to kill it .. They feel little pain (: then that one wold be attacked by the others.. all in 5 ft or water while milling around to heat up the oils and engine /drive fluids. They work on instinct not reason like humans .. No animal can truly reason , As we understand the term.
