| Those Great Whites were probably stuffed after eating a boatful of chum, they had no reason to attack the diver....... The second time I guess. |

The second time I guess. | Exactly they where not in feeding mode and would not risk getting harmed for the heck of it.. He did hot the nose right off the bat so the shark knew he was somewhat dominate. I understood their behavior . Now if a side of bloody beef was tossed in there I think he'd have a different video to show us. You can't humanize a animal from Dogs to elephants they are what they are and all have instincts they work from. They have no conception of time or space or death..they eat breed and die. |

| I know it is more complicated then eat/breed/die. Most animals have relationships in some form or another and it doesnt involve either of the 3 mentioned all of the time. Affection is something a lot of animals need, not affection in human understanding exactly, but a form of it. I am no animal EXPERT nor are any of us who have talked about this. I know there are animal studies that say otherwise about animals needing more then eat/breed/die. |

I know there are animal studies that say otherwise about animals needing more then eat/breed/die. | Nope none need love or affection a lot of people would like to think they do again trying to humanize a animal nothing wrong with that I guess . Nothing I ever felt the need to do they are what they are.
But if anyone thinks Buffy or fluffy or spot or rover needs love and affection or even feels it above the point of the animal knows his place in the pack or pride then turn them out ever seen domesticated dogs pack up and get wild or cats go ferrule ?? They live just fine with no human contact at all. They like your fish will come to depend on you for food and even may learn a few tricks along the way but its just behavior modification or a learned behavior.. From some basic instinct they already have. Their whole purpose is to eat, live and breed . Now thats not to say people won't and don't humanize the old Rover or spot (: |

| I was referring affection to nurturing. Thats why I said not in normal human understanding. People mistake it for affection. Thats why animal young typical stay with their parents. In a sense, animals have feelings but not like humans. Thats where people get confused. |

| An animal nursing its young is not an aquired behavior, its instincts. That is also a sign of affection. again like I said, I did not mean for it be to be took as typical human affection or the need to feel love. |
