Default Cheap "insurance"

I like the idea of pumping air into aquarium until I discover power outage and get to generator. Power outages are among my greatest fears while traveling or being away from home for more then a day. $12.00 at Petsmart.

Just added to main tank. Am going to get another for Nano.

Penn Plax Silent Air B11 Air Pump

Life insurance for your fish- the bubbles go ON when the power goes OFF! This battery powered air pump is a must for your precious aquarium fish. The pump automatically turns on when it detects no A.C. electricity, providing your fish with life-saving aeration during a power-outage.

It is this kind of thing that adds to peace of mind when away from home.

Do they make bigger pumps for bigger tanks or would one have to double or triple up on some of these????

I learned the hard way - get the generator. Power went off for a week last Oct because of a freak snow storm. Lost everything because temp went to
55. Needless to sayI bought a generator. Insurance didn't cover anything! And don't be fooled by "Pet Coverage" - it doesn't cover you from a loss.

It's ok to be crazy - just don't let it drive you NUTS!!! JB
