It will spread quick and you need to harvest it alot. I have a 30g for my fuge and that stuff gets thick pretty quick. Why don't you buy a hang on tank fuge??

I would not recomend putting it in the display tank, it will take over!
It needs to be on a reverse light cycle anyway.

You do not want it in your display. I did it back before we had refugiums and it was a pain. It will overgrow everything in the tank.

That is what a HOT fuge is and you said you didn't like that? What is the difference in hanging it on the back as to setting a glass bowl in the tank...:-/

I have a coule of friend that have put it in the display. They placed it behind the LR and when it became visible they would trim it. It would be something that you would need to keep a close eye on, but I've seen it done with success.
