Dave, it is not a question "could you?" - it is more a question of "should you?"
and ultimately "why would you want to...?"
Again why risk both breaking the law and harming the animals you intend to "frag" not to mention the low likelihood of it surviving all the way back to your tank.
"Just because it is Free" is kind of a dumb excuse for someone who has already invested as much you on your system. Besides it is not really "Free" or there would not be laws saying not to do it.
The stock in LFS's is handled by professionals every step of the way to their tanks. --- allot less stress on them compared to what you are doing.
Pretty weird to me that a guy with your proposed system and claimed knowledge of this hobby would even want to. Especially after so many negative responses by conscientious reef keepers in earlier posts!
It was a lousy idea when you first posted your plans. It still is a lousy idea.

| ya it kinda is
i just thought it would be really cool to have some coral straight from hawaii's reefs but ill only take some algae for my refuge and im positive theres no reason not to do that or is there a law against it
so thanks for talking it out of me
im just wondering is it illegal for any one to take coral out of the wild or just illegal for people who don't have a permit |

| Mr. Danger Dave This guy is just stringing you all along to keep this thread going.
I'm sure he realizes the laws and that he would be breaking 99% of them on his adventures. Relax and let him run his own course. Time and the law will catch up with him and if not then he's not a true "reefer". People have to make choices in life, some bad some good.
Why do you think he keeps asking such dumb *** questions about raiding the reefs and oceans? |

But Otty, why in prison is everyone named Bubba?? Why not Big Boy, Roscoe, Shorty or even Scooter???
Danger Dave...I think it's unanimous...Look but don't touch. It's just not the right thing to do. If you do, good luck and I surely would not post it here...... |
