| To buy or not to buy Ok...i just moved a giant colt coral frag and have alot of shady room, i have been looking at 2 really nice coco worms, one is red and the other is pink/yellow...also i have been looking at a sunburst linckia...what u think! _________ Tank Specs:

| Re: To buy or not to buy Not sure if your tank is mature enough to support a linkia so I'd go with the coco worms (assuming you're going to feed them phytoplankton?). My 90 gallon tank was completely unable to support a linkia until it reached the 3 year point |

| Re: To buy or not to buy what do the linckias usually eat or are fed in an aquaria?...i think that my sss is doing bad because of the lack of usable sand...my tank is not deep so the rocks come out far...thats why i was thinking of a linckia...but...how long would i wait till i get one? 3-4 year tank? by then ill be gone  ...er...at college...god...im still thinking if i can move my tank...lol |

| Re: To buy or not to buy If your tank is 2 years old, it might be old enough to sustain a linkia. As I mentioned in the other thread, nobody really knows what linkias eat but it is common knowledge that they do not do well in "younger" tanks. If you do get the starfish, be sure that you acclimate it very very slowly as they tend to die if you don't. Good luck! |
