Bubbles

Hey everyone!!

I did a water change today and i was fixing up my wet/dry filter making sure everything was running. I cleaned all the algae off my spray bar and put it back on. When i filled the tank back up to its normal level of good flow, i noticed that there were bubbles flowing through the spray bar, and all the water being poured out was bubbles!!

I was just wondering if this is good for the tank and is not going to cause any harm because the whole tank is all flowing with bubbles and looks cloudy??

You probably ended up with a small leak somewhere on your return. Adjust it to make the bubbles stop and then give it a few hours before they all dissapate. Microbubbles kill the aesthetics of the tank but I think your inhabitants should be fine for a day or two.

I figuered it out, its cause my pond pump that is in the sump isn't fully submerged, so its sucking air and water through the tube and therefore there are bubbles coming out. Are there anyway to stop this? Cause when i fill the sump up with more water, all it does is push more through the tank??

Lower your overflow in the tank so that it is taking more water out of the tank and you can fill your sump higher, at least that is how my setup was. It's also why I got rid of my sump and bigger tank
