Why are bubbles rising from my LS???

The bubbles in your sand are nitrogen bubbles and they are perfectly normal, It is just the final stage of the nitrogen cycle.

How old is your LS?

Actually I should ask:

How deep is it (that may come across as personal ...)

How old is it (ditto)

And are you running a plenum?

Bubbles are not a bad thing, they mostly rise to the surface and are gone. Even if they are carrying away bad gasses, they rise to the surface and they are gone. And that is a good thing. Didn't you watch Shrek?

Do you have any other gas issues to share? (Another personal topic left to oneself ...)

Tank has been up and running for over a year. Sand bed is roughly 2-4" deep in certain areas.
