Default Which is the best heater to buy?

I am going to set up a 42 gallon reef tank and was wondering what is the best heater to buy to get a stable temperature and is reliable.

Will it be in the tank or in an outside filter, refuge, or sump?

I would pick up one of the titanium heaters. You will have less of a chance of it breaking due to rock slides.

I agree. However, don't buy one made by Won Brothers. Their thermostat's are notorius for sticking and frying people's tanks.

Happened to me as well. It's a shame too because I really like Won Brothers heaters.

Which Titanium heater are you guys using? Brand? Watts/tank?

I am using a Visitherm Stealth Heater which has worked great and always keeps the tank around the same temperature +/- 1 degree. But it is HUGE and I was looking to get something smaller to put in a sump. Any recommendations?
