Thanks. I cycled the tank for about 6 weeks before hand but started adding livestock first week of Aug.
I have tryed other nanos this quick without the 6 week cycle and they have been a disaster, plus I am running a heavily planted 5.5gl refugium. I have also been using Fostersmith Phospure pads which have basically kept nitrates, phosphates in check. Diatomes and undesirable algae have been at a very minumum, so much so that it is almost scary. I keep expecting to come in from work one day and see the tank in a mess, but so far it only looks better and better.
The speed of coraline algae growth is what has amazed me the most in this tank.

What is the trick to corraline algea? my tank has been up for two years and the rocks are purple but the glass never gets coralline on it like many other tanks.
