| Auto top off and kalk dispenser Well, I finally hooked up the top off and added the kalk dispenser. Working great. I will be keeping an eye on the ph, calcium, and alk. The hardware is Tunze. I will be adding a second pump so as to have a relay operate via the PH controller. Hopefully this setup will keep PH regulated. I will update any situations which arise. some call me frank |

| Instead of running another pump, I hooked mine up to a Rain Bird valve and hooked up my RO/DI storage tank to it. That way I just use the pressure from the tank instead of another pump. Just plugged the valve into my ATO and it works great. _________ Scott 265g (Peninsula)

| Interesting. Did some PI and found manufacturer has discontinued this item. I would be concerned of the metal parts inside exposing elements as using the RO/DI which would leach elements from metal parts inside. Also, both pumps would be inside the same holding tank of top off water. Second pump also in case of failure. Thanx for the info. Investigation leads to knowledge, which leads to an educated decision.

| | 3reef Moderator | I ran the same Tunze set up for a couple of years. I really liked it. I still use the top off system but sold the kalk dispenser. Not that there was anything wrong with it, just when with a CA reactor.
While running it I never had an PH issue that would have required a monitor

| Wow Tarlik (Herb from WKRP in Cincinnati). You seem to have a lot of stuff in that 5.5. Could you post some pictures as I am roaming into major coral acquisition territory!
