| Auto top off I've heard many times in the past about making your top off "Totally automatic"Using your RO system, via a float valve in the sump.
Is the RO line plumb directly to the float? if so how close does it have to be?(RO unit)
from my understanding the RO water trickles out .(not under alot of pressure)

The ro unit can be any where.
depends on the float valve you have but yes it connects to it.
Once the float valve is in the off position the auto shut off valve on the ro/di unit will activate. When water is needed the float valve goes down and the auto shut off valve opens and wala water goes into the sump.

The ro line goes into the fitting and you screw it down thats it.

| Re: Auto top off ? when the valve on the float opens, since there is no reservoir water, doesnt it take awhile to produce enough to raise the float.
im just worried that it wont replace the water fast enough and my pump running dry. unit say it makes a gallon in anhour or so |

Or you could get a small holding tank that holds a gallon or so and hook a pump to that.
once the sump is filled the evaporation is not as fast as the water produced.
You will want to test this a day when you are home but I am sure it will keep up with the evaporation.
How much head room do you have in the utility room? I have seen people use 50 gallon pepsi containers DIY above the washer/dryer for a holding tank. You can get these for free as they have to pay some one to take them.

You have a 75 gallon per day unit and there is no way in hell anyone would have 75 gallons a day of evaporation.... LOL
Sit back and relax mister you have no problems My tank has a evaporation rate of 2.5 to 3 gallons a day depending on humidity.
