Unhappy aquariumm heater

I have an aquapod 24 gal reef tank and my temp is all over the place with my current heater. I got home tonight and the temp in my tank was almost 81 degrees and the heater is set at 78 and the heater was on. The heater is 100 watts and wondering what type of heaters you guys recomend....Thanks Bill....

titanium non-glass is what they told me i have a current aquapod 24 gal and i bought Marineland Visi-Therm Stealth Submersible Aquarium Heaters - Heating - PetSmart
50 watt and it stays constant at 78-79 if you buy from petsmart ask for the online price saved me about $30 on my last trip there

Yes on the titanium. Never put a glass type heater in your tank.
