| I used too. Then I switched to Catalina water (sea water that is sand filtered out here in California.) Now I am kinda lazy and use salt mix.
THe real stuff can work depending on when and where you get it.
I was a little insane and swam for my aquarium water once. Heh. I don't think I'll do that again anytime soon. |

| I think prepped water is just as good as natural water. You have to remember that prepped water is sanitized of all crap and filtered well. You never know what you might bring in through ocean water. I just think it's risky, wouldn't do that to my reef.
Btw, what's wrong with water from the LFS? Or mixing your own?

| Up here in Connecticut, you don't want to use the water from the Long Island sound for anything. I don't even like to swim in it! Very dirty and loaded with bacteria. I feel better using ro water with my synthetic salt. If I were living in the Caribbean or the Florida Keys, I would probably use the water then from the ocean. _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F.
