I'm a genius. I decided to save a $75 locksmith fee when I was locked out my house and incur over $50g in medical bills. Here's the real kicker. I've only been without health insurance for 3 weeks of my life....guess when the accident happened?

In fact, I got approved by Blue Cross/Blue Shield while I was laying in the hospital but now all of the injuries are "pre-existing" and they won't pay for it.
In short, because the deck off of my kitchen on the second floor didn't have stairs going up to it, it was always unlocked. My garage door jammed so I climbed up the trellis to get into the house. Unfortunately, this time, the door was locked so I had to climb back down. On my way over the railing, there was a little dry rot that gave out and I fell to my concrete patio for my walkout basement.
For the mantis shrimp, here's a good link to an article I wrote (Requires Acrobat Reader).
