Default ammo-carb, any good?

i was wondering if anyone has used ammo carb or know if it is any good. when i bought from the lfs the only kind they had said freshwater aquariums only but shortly thereafter they had some that said for both fresh and saltwater aquariums is there any difference? i thought activated carbon was activated carbon

Default freshwater only

Hi,
I believe thats a freshwater product that was made for use with goldfish with high loads of nh3. not reccomended for saltwater cause salt can release the nh3/

Default yes thats correct salt releases any trapped ammonia

Ps not all carbon are the same either do your homework, some carbons are not made for saltwater use and can actually add phos...

CRAP!!!!!!!! (i'd use MUCH stronger language, but i don't want to bring down the wrath of any certain cat-obsessed mods)

I "inherited" a FORTY POUND bulk box of ammo-carb and have been using it in my sump since february...

CRAP!!!

anyone interested in some ammo-carb? cheap?
