Default Am I cycled yet?
Ok I've been going for 6 weeks, maybe 7.

Today I tested.

NO2 = 0
NO3 = 2.5
NH3/NH4 = .25
PH = 8.4
Alk = 3.2


I have red slime algae everywhere.

Is it time to introduce my clean up crew?

My LFS wanted me to buy this stuff to get rid of the slime, I didn't think it would be a good idea to start doing that while I'm cycling.

I would wait till your ammonia and nitrite are 0. Don't worry about the red slime, it will disappear. What is your phosphorus? You will want that to be 0 as well as this contributes to algae blooms. Right now your going through the normal maturation process of a new tank.

Yes everything spiked.

I have not tested my Phosphorus. I will do it now.
