Good news for me then...
already running good t5 lighting ... wattage at 216...
but if you look at pics posted in the forum... my rocks are stacked high with tunnels and caves so corals can be close to top...
I do like the oceanic salt...
and based on my calcium at 6 weeks old... I don't need any more calcium that's for sure... actually worried about it being too high...
As for the mag... I have to buy a test kit before I supplement it...
I'm just upset it wasn't included in the API 'reef master' kit... some master kit that turned out to be... MASTER = COMPLETE = EVERYTHING NEEDED IN MY OPINION.

dont worry about the calcium right now. It will come down. I changed calcium supplements one day, and I dosed it and it went from 350 to 880 and my Kh was 2! I did not believe my results, so I took a sample up to the LFS and they rechecked it and it was like 840 or something. One of the guys at the store did not believe me that it jumped that high even though one of their employees tested it. I did not overdose or anything; Needless to say I have a whole bottle of that junk in my drawer.

But after about 6 or 7 weeks it finally went back down to 400 and nothing suffered for it. I did increase my water changes a little, but everything was fine. When I first started my Ca was always high. I was buying premixed SW from store and then I started mixing my own salt and used Oceanic salt. It remained high. I now use Instant Ocean and it is fine (I cant remember what everybody says to use in previous post...3:30 am!)
