yeah but back then it wasnt. It seems shallow reefs were destroyed by sedimentation and pollution and this specie lived in very shallow (5-10 feet) reefs.

btw I am refering to reefs in my country, Philippines. And the latest study shows 60% of reefs existing 20 years ago are now dead. tsk tsk.
