I know a few suppliers who raise their own corals who use heat pumps for heating and cooling their systems. Its the ones used for pools and spas. You need to mount them outside the house just like central heat and air units.

Yes will I'll build ours I like York or Carrier equipment and their scroll compressors That looks like to much like a Goodman or maybe Acroair condenser.. ? I have used Carrier for yrs with the domestic Hot water exchange set up .. That way I can offer a 5 yrs totally warranty (:10 yrs if they want to pay a few dollars

Not at all now if its a little 90 gal tank that would be over kill The I'd just put the whole;e system in the house and let the air cool the tank (: But I'm doing one now for a local Man Reef in his house 500 gallons and it hit 97F he lost everything a LFS set him up with a junk system and we where called in to redo everything.. Building a M/H system for him now they stuck him with 44 T 5 bulb system and Ballast everywhere and put them up over the built into wall tank and not a ventilation fan anywhere I have to do a exhaust system also. And the Guy is loaded and money was never a issue when he started out.. He found us through a very upscale restaurant where we installed the entire 500 system.

LOL won't work I ran a heat load on this and its right at 28,000 BTU from just the M/H's when I'm done Plus the ambient heat of the tank and the 6 VHO plus ..Ambient room temps The mechanical room is where the pumps will be located and the condenser will set outside next to his central A/C units all enclosed with a privacy fence and shrubs . I'm going to use a Unit by TJERNLUND called the VP-3 that has a 24 V relay that I'll use to control a automatic damper and if the outside air is above 65 the unit will exhaust to the outside and under the set temp it will feed the heat back into the central ducting system to heat the house. The old T.J VP-3 is what I always use on a Gas Log through the Wall fireplace for the people who did not put a real fireplace in (: Looks good at the termination point outside the wall also. But under normal Operating that heat will hit over 30,000 BTU 10 400 M/H and 2 1000's

LOL well he is shelling out 10'x of Thousands to redo this nightmare its a 2.4 mill home on some of the most expensive dirt / sand in Ct. on the ocean. His Granddaddy was very Rich and very and Famous LOL hell the bulbs will cost near to a 1,000 bucks The vent was over that amount. and we are just getting started his check and contract came back this yesterday I ordered the chiller barrel the condenser I get locally from a HVAC supply house (: I've been putzing with this design since last July when I went there to get it all laid out. Changes made weekly.. I call it a change order in my old business. Nothing happens until I see it in my hands and signed. Equal money is not a good thing in a capitalist society we all need to set our own goals and go get them.. Hell socialized healthcare scares me.. I'd never vote for it.
