| Aiptasia to small to inject Hi guys and gals, i got this nice colony of zo's yesterday and i noticed a small, i mean very small aiptasia on it. Its around a 1/8" tall. way to small to stick it with a needle. What i would like to know is will it split at that size or do they have to be bigger before they start spreading? Or if anybody have a great idea to kill it before it gets bigger even at that size.
Thanks
Marc. _________

| | Aiptasia Anemone | use a underwater torch and burn the sucker! sorry, not very helpful but it's all i could think of....or place some type of invertebrate (peppermint shrimp) in there for the time being and wait to see if it takes the bait. _________ |

| Its right next to some zo's, i was lucky enough to see since the zo's havent fully extended yet. So i cant torch it , that would be cool though. and i dont want a shrimp in the tank cause i dont want to have to disturbe anything to get the shrimp out when its done its job.

| | Aiptasia Anemone | i'd think that your only choice would be to wait until it's larger to inject or as i said, try out a shrimp. go to your lfs, pick one up and after the shrimp has performed it's job, return it to the lfs and claim that the shrimp didn't work out . another option might be to perform a quick freshwater dip....i just don't know how resilient aipstasia can be. hth.

| I have use vinegar and it works great and cheap also. Usually take the rock out and inject or use a droplet on the aiptasia a few drops. |

| Be careful aiptasia have strong stings. I have a peppermint shrimp and he ate all of my aiptasia in a few days. Good Luck

| I dont think i can get it with a syringe its to small. Or like Matt said drop some juice on it, its surrounded by zo's so im afraid it would kill the zo's to. Will it grow before it spreads?
