| 2 Fish deaths in one day! Can you believe it??
I knew my butterfly fish was dying anyway so that was of no surprise, but it was my algae blenny thats annoyed me.
I got home from work today, and whilst admiring my tank i noticed nothing was swishing around, so i have a look at my powerhead, and who's head is hanging out of the inlet?? Blennys!!
I know he's gone to rest on the rock thats directly below and gotten sucked up - im so annoyed by it. When i turned the powerhead off, it had sucked on him that much all his digestive organs where hanging out of his body!
Just thought i'd winge about it to ya _________ |

| Im sorry to hear that, whenever i have a fish die it is almost like a reaction, there has only been one or two times in which i have had one fish die all by itself, although yours is a special case (one was an accident).
I've had a 3 inch long barracuda, 5 inch long needlefish, clown goby and a pipefish all die the same way your blenny did (over about a 15 year period), so thats actually one of my most common ways of death when i was first starting out. I was really suprised about the needlefish, but he was a really skinny fish.
But to sum it up, these things happen and its just something you have to get over when dealing in this hobby, or perhaps you could make some changes to prevent it from happening again.
Best of luck!

| cheers for the soothing word i moved the PH away from the rocks and right in the corner of the tank, where no fish would go! hopefully it will not happen again!
I guess its time to consider the fish replacement - im thinking a yellow fish, maybe a lemon peel angel |

| Man sorry for that. That sounds just as painful as when I saw that my lionfish was chewed down to the stump of a body when I woke up in the morning; his fins, tail, spines and eyes were all chewed off but was still alive. He died a couple hours later.
