This is Ares...I've had him for almost 6 years now. The jack that I used to have lived for almost 9 years. _________  &&Right now I'm in the middle of a conversion from reef to Discus/ planted aquarium. Hair algae beat me down. Maybe a nano in the future. Everything screwed up so I'm converting to FOWLR. Wish me luck. | |

The Jack and the Pleco get along fairly well. They started out in the same little 20 gal tank together. Ares (the Jack) is a little aggressive but the Pleco pretty much ignores him. I have not kept a Red Devil but I think they are about the same temperment as a Jack.
I did have a Jewelfish once. That was the only fish I have ever had that would not tolerate anything else in the tank with him. When it was very small I put him in a tank with an Oscar that was about 2 inches bigger as I was cleaning out another tank for the Oscar. It killed the Oscar within 20 minutes!! | |
