Default quarantine tank

I have a 14 gallon tall tank that I have set up as a quarantine tank for new and sick fish. I just set it up and am using Stress Zyme. Do I need to keep fish in the tank for a while after the tank cycles? Will the bacteria colony stay with no fish for long periods?

well normally I drain the water after every use and then just fill it from my display and then change out the water from my display also.

Yep, just use main tank water.

Also use for water changes in QT tank.

Will greatly reduce stress when inhabitants moved to main tank. --- which to me is primary reason to QT fish in first place.

Good Luck!

yeah, that makes sense but what about bacteria in the filter if I want to keep new fish in there for a while?
